Accenture Acquires Flo Group

Accenture has acquired Flo Group, a European consultancy and Oracle business partner specializing in global supply chain logistics. The acquisition expands Accenture’s Oracle-specific capabilities in Europe, allowing it to support clients better as they develop resilient, agile supply chains. Flo Group’s 260 employees will join the Accenture Oracle Business Group, extending its capabilities to help clients design their digital core, prepare for supply chain transformation, and maintain end-to-end visibility.

Acumatica Announces the General Availability of the Acumatica 2024 R1 Update

Acumatica, a global business solution provider, has announced the general availability of Acumatica 2024 R1, the first of its semi-annual products. The release expands Acumatica’s platform with new features and functionalities for companies across the manufacturing, distribution, construction, retail, commerce, CRM, and financial markets. It also introduces new features for developers, including tools for simplifying no-code workflow creation, calculating ratios, improving reporting flexibility, enabling faster workflow processing, improving usability, and capturing new market share.

Apromore Extends its Platform with New No-Code Features

Apromore—a process mining and AI-driven business process improvement technology provider—has announced several new features to help users visualize and refine complex processes. These new no-code features, available in Apromore version 9.5, extend the company’s AI-enabled process optimization with new no-code features that make it easier for businesses to drive continuous improvement initiatives, turn raw data into actionable insights, and streamline their process design and testing efforts.

Celonis and Sailfin Release New Accounts Receivable Apps

Celonis, a process mining solution, has launched a new Sailfin Accounts Receivable (AR) application suite, developed alongside Sailfin Technologies, which the company acquired in 2022. These apps are designed to help AR teams improve efficiency, optimize daily AR management processes, eliminate system silos, maximize productivity, and drive process optimization across value chains. The Sailfin AR suite includes applications for collections management, dispute management, cash application, and credit management.

Cognizant and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership to enhance software delivery lifecycles and accelerate developer productivity. As part of the expanded partnership, Cognizant will adopt Gemini for Google Cloud by integrating its capabilities into its internal operations and training its associates to use Gemini for software development assistance. Additionally, Cognizant and Google Cloud will use Gemini to help clients across industries test code, build applications, resolve issues, and optimize performance.

Google Cloud and NVIDIA Expand Their Partnership to Support Generative AI Development

Google Cloud and NVIDIA have expanded their existing partnership to better enable the machine learning (ML) community with the technology they need to build, scale, and manage generative AI applications. As part of this collaboration, Google has adopted the new NVIDIA Grace Blackwell AI computing platform and NVIDIA DGX Cloud service on Google Cloud. Additionally, NVIDIA has made its H100-powered DGX Cloud platform generally available on Google Cloud.

IFS Appoints a New President for its Enterprise Service Management Business

IFS, a global cloud enterprise software company, has appointed Merlin Knott as President of its Enterprise Service Management business. Knott first joined IFS in 2019, where he was tasked with running IFS’ global Partner and Channel organization. He previously held various leadership roles in organizations like SAP, Cura Software, and MicroStrategy. In his new role, Knott will lead the IFS assyst team, focus on supporting the company’s global customer base, and expand what IFS assyst can provide to customers by commercializing IFS’ full suite of service offerings.

Microsoft and NVIDIA Expand Their Partnership with New Integrations

Microsoft and NVIDIA have expanded their partnership to include several new integrations. These integrations will leverage NVIDIA’s latest generative AI and Omniverse technologies across Microsoft Azure, Azure AI service, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft 365 solutions. Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, made the following statement about the announcement: “AI is transforming our daily lives—opening up a world of new opportunities. Oracle has also expanded its collaboration with NVIDIA to improve its ability to deliver AI solutions to global customers. The updated partnership combines Oracle’s distributed cloud, AI infrastructure, and generative AI services with NVIDIA’s accelerating computing and generative AI software. This will help governments and enterprises deploy AI factories that run cloud services locally, supporting economic growth and providing enterprises greater control over their operations, location, security, and digital sovereignty.

SAP and NVIDIA are Collaborating on the Development of SAP Business AI

SAP also announced an expansion to its partnership with NVIDIA, as the two companies are collaborating on developing and delivering SAP Business AI, which will help enterprise customers use data and generative AI across the SAP solution suite. SAP Business AI includes scalable, business-specific GenAI capabilities within SAP’s Joule copilot tool. Additionally, SAP will use NVIDIA’s generative AI foundry service to optimize various LLMs for domain-specific scenarios, deploy applications with NVIDIA NIM microservices, and more. The companies plan to release these integrated capabilities by the end of 2024.

ServiceNow, a digital workflow company, has announced its plans to acquire 4Industry, a manufacturing technology provider whose primary application is built on ServiceNow’s Now Platform. The company also announced that it has completed its acquisition of Smart Daily Management, a connected digital worker application from EY. These acquisitions will expand ServiceNow’s operational technology (OT) management capabilities, add Connected Worker solutions to its portfolio, and enhance its expertise across the manufacturing, transport, logistics, and energy markets.

UiPath—an enterprise automation and AI software company—has introduced several new generative AI features to its platform to help companies access specialized AI models that are tailored to their most valuable use cases. The new features, announced at the UiPath AI Summit, include Generative Large Language Models (LLMs), pre-built GenAI Activities that utilize the UiPath AI Trust Layer, Context Grounding to augment GenAI models with business-specific data, and UiPath Autopilot, a suite of GenAI-powered experiences.
